Gaffer tape to remove… gaffer tape residue

Some of the strips of gaffer tape on my 5D mk2 started to get a little too mushy and shredded for my own liking. So I decided to remove them and in the process found out that a pretty good way to do so is using fresh gaffer tape.

It clings to the old residue, removes it, and isn’t as “invasive” as using alcohol or other solvents (like acetone, as I read somewhere) which I suspect might do some damage to the body plastics, namely acetone… don’t try that folks, I’ve seen it happen.

And know what? I need to get myself an EF 16-35mm f2.8 II
