Erasmus Student Network 20th anniversary parade and meeting at Foz do Porto, Portugal. Shot past 10th of June this was an exchange students gathering, quite fun actually. Was invited by a friend to shoot the event (did it for free).

These shots where edited in Photoshop, the ones you’ll find on the flickr set are all decaf.

By the end of the meeting (when there was not much left to shoot, fortunately) I ran out of batteries, the two of them. I could still get some more shots out of them by taking them of the grip battery holder and inserting them again. This “fools” the machine into thinking there is still some power in the batteries, and it’s usually good for one more shot for battery switch until they eventually die. This got me some 6 or 7 more shots.

As a result I ordered 2 batteries (stores.ebay.co.uk) on the following day and later got the 2 other I had previously ordered (stores.ebay.co.uk via hong-kong) that got stuck on customs. I now am the proud owner of 6 NB-2L(H), 2 Canon originals, 2 Canon OEMs and 2 third party (rated 1300mAh but there’s no such indication on the battery itself, the other 4 are all 720mAh rated).
